FontSwipe – Privacy Policy

FontSwipe respects your privacy. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use the site (very little), in line with the GDPR.
1. Who We Are
FontSwipe is a free tool designed and maintained by Adrien Ka (Infographiks), based in Nancy, France, who is responsible for the processing described below.

2. No Account, No Forms, No Tracking
FontSwipe has no user account, no contact form and no newsletter form. It uses no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
Your swipes and favorites only exist in the open page: they disappear when you close or reload it, and are never sent to us.
3. Font Previews (Google Fonts, Fontshare)
To show you each pairing, the home page and the app load fonts from Google Fonts (Google Ireland Limited). Your browser then connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address and technical information about your browser, as with any web request.
We use this service because the preview cannot work without loading the fonts, and the fonts in FontSwipe are distributed by Google Fonts. One pairing on the home page, Cabinet Grotesk, is not on Google Fonts: it is loaded from Fontshare (Indian Type Foundry), which receives the same technical information (https://www.fontshare.com). The other pages of the site do not connect to Google or Fontshare. Google’s handling of this data is described in its privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
4. Hosting
The site is hosted in France by O2switch. Like any web server, it records technical logs (IP address, date, page requested, browser) for security and to keep the service running. We do not use these logs to identify or follow visitors.
5. If You Email Us
If you write to adrien@infographiks.com, we use your email address and message only to reply to you. Messages are kept for a maximum of 12 months, then deleted.
6. Links to Other Sites
FontSwipe links to other services: Google Fonts and Fontshare (to download fonts), Substack (newsletter), Instagram and Infographiks. Once you follow a link, that site’s own privacy policy applies. Subscribing to the newsletter happens on Substack, not on FontSwipe.
7. Your Rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
Access your personal data
Correct or delete your data
Object to its processing
Request a copy of your data
Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in France, the CNIL: https://www.cnil.fr)
